Kit has had a lifelong interest in adventure, the natural world, and the supernatural. He's worked in radio and television, entertained as a professional magician, and taught martial arts, fencing, and scuba diving. ​ With a black belt in three martial arts systems, Kit has instructed students in Kenpo and women’s self-defense for over 50 years through his Black Dragon Dojos in Arizona, California, and Oregon.  He lives in the Southern Oregon Cascade Mountains near Ashland with his wife, Chris, where he writes full-time, produces daily videos for Kit's Myths and Mysteries, and manages a cabin for solo writers seeking a quiet, creative retreat.
